ReplyDeletea. My general reaction was that is has good explinations and directions.
b. This site contained very good directions on the task you were asked to accomplish.
Also it had good explinations of the alleles and dominant and reccesive genes.
This site is also interactive and I learn better with hands on activites.
c. I think they should have more activities where you select the genotypes that go in the squares.

ReplyDeleteThis site was very fun because it tought you about how to use punnett squares and explains them. it also lets you go back and try again if you mess it up. I also like how you get to try and get a albino. to fix get a faster download.

ReplyDeleteThis punnetsquare had good directions and gave you a task to accomplish.
It was fun because it taught you how to use punnett squares. You can always try again if you get it wrong. The thing I didn't like is how you had to choose what lemmings will breed with another lemming. that took me a while.

ReplyDeleteI liked the punnetsquare, I thought it was easy to follow and gave good directions.
I liked trying to get an albino.
The final thing I liked about it, was that it let you try until you had it right.
This activity was interesting because it used different tactics like the choosing the two mice or whatever they were until you picked the right two to get an albino. Also, I like that it was more interacting than doing a punnet square on paper. I also like how it gave you directions and things to read after every step, so you knew what you were doing.

this avtivity was very intesting and had good information on it. it was a good help because it taught you how to use punnet squares if you did not already know. and if you got it wrong they would let you try again. the thing i didnt like is in class we were taught to put the big A first then the little one but on this assignment we had to put the little a first to make it right.
ReplyDeleteI like this activity I thought it gave good information on punnett squares. I also liked how it gave you a punnett square to do and you can be more interactive with a punnett square. When you got question wrong it would let you try it again and it also gave you hits. Another good thing about this site was that it kept you wanting more and it kept you hooked on the website. The website kept you interested and it wasn't boring The one thing i would change would be the download that was really slow.
ReplyDeleteI liked how the website gave some info with each slide. I liked how it was kind of like an activity to help you understand Punnet squares. It was a fun way to learn the information and kept you involved. I would add different activities to do so that there were different examples for the Punnet squares.
ReplyDeleteThis website was different. I liked how it let you interact and pick the right lemmings, chose how to set up punnet squares, and help you if needed. I, however, did not like that it would breed your first choice of lemmings right away. Some people know what they are doing and are frustrated when they don't let you have the choice of knowing if your random choice is correct. Overall, I liked the website. It was a good interaction site, and it could possibly have helped some people with confusion.

ReplyDeleteThis site wasn't really that interesting to me. i mean the roosters and lemmings were okay i guess. but doing this assignment kinda made me want to fall asleep. Well as you can tell i liked the part with the lemmings and the roosters, but breeding the lemmings was kind of interesting to me because your got to see the information of there genes in the square. Give this site a little more life and inthusaim.

ReplyDeleteI liked this site because it is more interesting then doing a punnet square worksheet. The lemmings ( fur color and tail length) were helpful because you get to test both answers and you had to fugure out how you would get a Albino short tailed lemming.

ReplyDeleteOverall i thought that this was a good site. it tought you to pick out certain parents to make a certain offspring. It was more fun and interesting than worksheets. i thought this site could have let you do more such as let you fill in the punnet square and try to figure out how to arange the genotypes. it could have also let you try to make your own offspring instead of having to find a specific one.

ReplyDeleteI believe this was a goood site because it helped me learn more about the punnet squares. This was also way more interesting than worksheets. Also if you got a question wrong you had another chance to figure it out.
I thought this was a really good site. you had to pick from different parents to get a certain offspring. I would much rather do this than a worksheet, i liked how we had to do this activity. as for making it better, i think they should have more activities for letting us pick the genotypes that go in the square.

ReplyDeleteI liked this website more than doing a worksheet. It helped me understand it better. I learned more about punnet squares. I think it should have been longer with a few more activites so that we could get the hang of it.
I liked this activity because it was on the computer and I would rather do activities on the computer than on paper. I also liked it because you had to choose which parents to breed and you had to determine if they were going to make an albino or not. This site could be improved by having us fill out the whole punnett square. This website helped me because I had to re-do the questions if I got them wrong, so I knew if they were right or not.
ReplyDeleteI thought this site was helpful in understanding punnet squares. I thought it did a great job of making you think. When the answer was wrong, it didn't give you the correct answer. You had to go back and figure it out before you could move on. It also helped me understand the the punnet squares with 16 boxes. I now know what I need to cross in order to get certain results. The one thing I did not like about the website was that aA was not the same as Aa because it would count it wrong.
ReplyDeleteI think this site is a pretty fun way to learn and it will help you if you don't understand how to do punnet squares or what the possible matches will be. It was a good because when you messed up on an answer it made you go back and try it again until you get it right. This kind of learning is helpful to me because then I can interact whith the information. This is also a great site because they had cute little pictures to go along with your answers. It could improve by having a couple more punnet squares that you had to fill out or giving you a little more of a challenge.
ReplyDeleteI liked it it was like nothing I have ever done before.It was very similar to live if you want to get a cretin lemming, you have to know what the geneotypes to get the right phenotypes, if you want to get an ablino you have to mix two that have the genes to make them.
ReplyDeleteI liked how different it was. I liked how you had to choose different combanations to get cirten animals. I liked how you kind of had to read everything to understand what they wanted you to do. I don't have any changed for this website.
ReplyDeletea. This site was educational. I can't really call science "fun", but I guess this is as close to fun as it is going to get for me. The random clicking of the mice to find out if they would create an albino or not...not so fun. But the parts that explained to me what I am supposed to do--> that was nice. =) Ways to improve... no more random albino mice clicking.

ReplyDeleteb. it let me try different ways the (mice) make the babies so you could see the different phenotypes and genotypes there were. it also let me put a punnett square together which i liked.
c. I didn't like how boring and long it was ( : and you could have more with the punnett squares.
What I liked about this website was that it is easier than doing loads of worksheets and labs. Also I like that it helps us more hands on with punnett squares. I like that it gives you another chance if you fail. The only improvement that I think needs to be done is to have more punnett squares to solve and probley harder ones.
