ReplyDeleteThis site was very interesting. I liked that this site was step by step. I also liked if you messed up it showed you what you did wrong. One improvement would be to let you do certain crosses like blood type. They are both very nice because they are both educational and interactive.

ReplyDeletea. I like this sites exapmles and explinations.
b. I like how they showed the difference incomplete and codominance.
I also like that they let you cross 2 different plants or animals to see what they produce.
c. Let you answer more questions and make sure you know how to do it.
d. It is about the same they both showed many examples and had great explinations.
I think that this website showed different types of crosses. It was more of a trial and error website, and it showed more. You did not have to read it all. I think that this website would be useful for the future. Maybe find one that you can not just click through though, so you actually have to read the website.
ReplyDeleteI did like this site. It was a good site because it let you choose what you wanted to cross and you got to cross different things. The improvenents that sould be made cuold be with different thing in codominance. I think this was a good site because its interactive and can teach the students. I like this better than the Punnet square site because this was more interesting and way more fun.
ReplyDeleteI liked this site also, but not as much as the last one. I liked this one because it let you choose the crosses and it would explain why it was wrong or why it was right. I got more out of this site because of the explanations.
ReplyDeleteI thought this site was alright a little bit better than the last one. I liked how you crossed different things instead of the same things. Also, I liked how you could keep trying until you were able to figure out the answer. You could experiment some what and cross different things to see what the outcome would be. One improvement I would make to the website is to not let anyone move on unless they have the right answer. I think that this website was more educational because we only crossed lemings on the last website. This website we crossed other things and the color was changed due to co-dominance.
ReplyDeleteI really liked this one. Like everyone has said, I liked how it showed you what you did wrong. I liked that they let you use animals, and plants. I think that they could let you answer more questions, and i think that both this one and Punnet Squares helped both in many ways.
ReplyDeleteIn general I thought that this was a good site. It let you try different crosses to see the results that you would get. I liked how you had to figure out if certain crosses were either co or incomplete dominance or if it was just dominance. I also liked being able to try out my own crosses and being able to see the results. I think that this site could have given you more of a task and a certain type geno/ phenotype to try and get. I think that both sites have their pros and cons and that they both are good websites.
ReplyDeleteAlissa....
ReplyDeleteI like how it let you cross and figure out what ones were dominate. I now understand the difference between dominance, incomplete dominance, and codominance. I could still use a little help. I liked how it gave you different scenarios for each problem. For example: one was blood type, or cross between rabbits, horses, and plants. This way I got a look at many different problem. I liked this one better than the other one.
This site was a good site and I liked it. I liked how it let you figure out what ones were the dominate ones before you could move on. The crossing of the pink, red, and white flowers were my favorite because it showed me if you cross a red and white flower they will all come out to be pink flowers. I personally don't think there is to much improvement to this site. I think the educational value is very good because I really understand about the dominate traits and how it happens.
ReplyDeleteIn this one I liked how I was able to figure out which one's were dominated and what not. This site defiantly helps me learn and I like how I have to figure it out before it moves on. In all honesty, I don't think this site needs much improvement or if any at all.
ReplyDeletenikki-
ReplyDeletea. this helped me understand it more.
b. I liked how you could cross different things and see what they produced.
c. I dont think they need to improve anything.
d. It gave you many examples.
this is maddy on nikkis acount. This site was good and I liked figuring out if it was dominance or incomplete or con. I could still use some help. I liked this one better than the rat one. I think the educational value was good because now I understand the dominate traits and what happens because of it. I liked crossing different things instead of the same things.
ReplyDeletein this website i was able to figure out which one was dominant and which ones were not. This site makes me figure out the right answer before i move on. i do not think this site needs any improvement.
ReplyDeletein this website like everyone else said i enjoy how much it helps me. i really like how it helps me and goes through it slowly so i can comprehend it. i dont believe this site needs any improvement.
ReplyDeleteI liked the website. I liked how it explained everything in detail. I think the color difference could be changed like have a darker red or lighter pink so you can tell the full difference.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a very interesting site. Two things I liked about this site was that if you got a question wrong it went into detail aout what was wrong and why that answer was wrong, another thing I liked this site was that it had a of info about why one or two genes were dominate. One improvment was if the site went into more detail about one type of animal instead of many differnt so we could learn things that are dominat and resesive.
ReplyDeleteI like this website I thought it was very interesting. One thing I liked about this website is how you can do different crosses and it helped you along the way. Another thing I liked was how it explained dominance, incomplete dominance, and codominance and now I know the difference. One thing I would change would be is that if you get something wrong you would have to kept trying it and not go now until you get it right. The sites are the same in educational value they do a great job of explaining the main point.
ReplyDeleteI felt that this newer website was interesting. I liked how you had to get the right answer before moving along and also how it helped you with understanding the answer.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I did not like about the website is that is was a little confusing at first. I did not like how it showed the flowers and horses and everything else. It definitely made you think about which two you would pair up.
One suggestion for this website would be to make it more approachable and not as confusing. An example would be to use punnet squares while choosing two parents you would know nothing about otherwise.
I felt that the website worked more on knowledge with incomplete dominance, co-dominance, and dominance. The other website was more interactive though.
I think this help me more because it gave me more detail. Then some what bad because ican forget to do it and there could be problems.
ReplyDeleteRussel...
ReplyDeletea. I liked this site compared to the last one. I liked it because it gave me a hands on experiance of what we are learning about.
b. I liked how it showed me the results, instead of a punnet square. I also liked how it asked questions, so that I could actually maintain some of the information I read.
c. It was kinda boring, maybe they could make it more intersting.
d. I think this one involved more of our involvment, and we could use this more efficiently.
Jessica
ReplyDeletea. It was better than the last one.
b. The little ponies and the flowers were the best part.
c. Get some sound, it'd make it a little more interesting.
d. It explains things a little better.
This post was very interesting like the last one, but it wasn't as interacting as the last activity with the punnet squares. To improve this activity, I think they should put something that is more interacting.
ReplyDeletei liked how this showed what you could do step by step. I liked how it let me do the steps and change the colors and see what different types of genotypes and phenotypes you could get. I think this could be improved by having more to do on it. Letting us do more and less reading (: i think this site had a way better education type feeling to it the the punnett square one.
ReplyDeleteI liked the use of vocab words in this site. It was more useful for our age level. I liked that it had pictures, not just words =) I agree with Jessey-- maybe get some sound? The educational value of this site was higher than the punnett square site, due to its vocab use.
ReplyDeletei liked that it has easy directions some words that people of our age group or reading level should be able to read. it should show more on crosses of blood type rather than just phenotype crosses. its not much different than the punnett squares other than the fact that it has to do with dominant and recessive and codominant traits.
